Message from the Head Physician
Ladies and Gentlemen,
It fills me withgreat pride and pleasure to bring to life a unique medical facility: Mammacenter of Saint Agatha, Ltd. Breast cancer, the most feared of women´s diagnoses today, records over 2000 new cases annually in Slovakia alone, and reaches ever-younger segments of the population. the number of new cases grows each year. the statistical results of long term survival are not satisfactory given the amount of attention this disease receives.
There are several reasons for the unsatisfactory record of long-term survival: late diagnosis / for variety of possible reasons /, poor accessibility to appropriately-equipped facilities, as well as a prolonged and poorly coordinated appriach to the diagnosis and treatment. All of these facts ring true even more when the problem of theis disease concerns our loved ones. At that point, we only want one thing: to find a state-of-the-art facility with experienced specialists, and to ensure the best possible quality of care. the experience of western European countries shows that the diagnosis and treatment in specialized centers increases the chance of a succesful treatment and cure. Now, women in Slovak Republic have available to them this state-of-the-art hospital specialised in comprehensive diagnosis and treatment of cancerous illnesses of the breast. Our center is build according to the recommendations of the European profesional bodies and the recommendations of the Ministry of Health of the Slovak Republic. Our strengths lie primarily in:

- Multi-disciplinary cooperation of medical specialists using the state-of-the-art equipment in Europe which guarantees the highest level of medical services.
